Nagura Lab opens your files in your own browser. Your data files are never uploaded. The only personal data we receive is what you type into a form.

Your data files

Files and folders you open are decoded by this page on your computer. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are gone when you close the tab. Exports (CSV, figures, zip) are created in your browser and saved straight to your computer.

Forms: support, format requests and the Pro waitlist

When you send a form, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, your message and, if you choose, technical details (app and browser version, file names and error messages) and an attached file. Nothing else.

• How it travels: a small Cloudflare Worker turns the form into an email to our support mailbox. The Worker does not store your message.
• Where it is kept: in our mailbox at Proton Mail (Switzerland).
• What we use it for: only to answer you, to handle your format request, or, for the waitlist, to email you about the Pro launch and early access. No newsletters, no sharing, no selling.
• How long: support and format request emails are deleted once the question is settled and at the latest after two years. Waitlist addresses are deleted after the launch email, or earlier if you ask.
• Legal basis (GDPR): your request (to answer you) and your consent (waitlist). You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to any email from us.

Attached files are used only to add or fix support for that format, and are deleted when that is done. Only attach files you are allowed to share.

Usage counts

To learn which formats and tools are worth improving, the page counts how it is used. When you open files or download an export, it sends one small message with only:

• the format and file extension it recognized (for example "JCAMP-DX, .jdx"), or the extensions of files it could not read;
• how many files, as a range (1, 2 to 10, 11 to 100, more than 100), and whether they could be read;
• which export you used (CSV, PNG, ZIP).

Never file names, file contents, sample names, or anything that identifies you. We store only daily totals, such as "26 September: JCAMP-DX .jdx opened 12 times". No IP addresses, no cookies, and nothing that links one action to another. The totals are kept in a Cloudflare database that only we can read.

Stored in your browser

If you unlock Pro with an early-access key, the key is saved in your browser's local storage so you stay unlocked on this device. It is never sent to us. Choosing "lock on this device" in the batch tools, or clearing your browser data, deletes it. The site sets no cookies.

Hosting and visit statistics

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them against abuse. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track you across sites. We do not use advertising or tracking services.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete any data we hold about you: use Support & feedback or email [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
